We need not be told 'you are', but about what our true identity really is there is a general fundamental confusion. Because of it, we naturally base our lives on the conclusion that we are someone relative to time, place or the circumstances we relate to. In other words, we think, feel and act as limited, inadequate human beings. However, even though our conviction is well set, something inside us is constantly seeking to end our unacceptable sense of limitation. If we analize this premise, we will recognize that every pursuit only has one jpurpose: to find an acceptable 'me,' completely free from any limitation. And that is a big problem because everything and everyone in the universe is limited in so many ways!

This universal human problem is thoroughly addressed by Vedanta, a body of knowledge found at the end of each of the Vedas. It is a teaching tradition designed to help one discover one's true, non-changing, acceptable identity.

My name is Jorge Luis Jáuregui (jorgeluisjaureguim@gmail.com) and I published this site with the spirit of sharing portions of some actual study-group discussions on the subject of Self-Knowledge. Through these videos you will get a peek into these classes.

I have been offering weekly classes in various cities of the San Francisco Bay Area since 1976, as well as in my country of origin, Mexico, where I travel periodically leading seminars and lectures on Vedanta since 1982, with the blessings of my teachers, the late Swami Chinmayananda (www.chinmayamission.org) and Swami Dayananda Saraswati (www.arshavidya.org), both traditional Vedantic Masters from India. Presently I hold weekly classes in the SF Bay Area, as well as a Bhagavadgita class in Spanish using Skype with students that are located from Sweden to  Argentina and countries in-between.

My Gurus exposed me to a vision of life and of myself which allowed me to recognize and address the fundamental problem of not knowing my true Self. This is the problem of every human being. I was helped to realize that my sense of being limited and the consecuent dependencies, have no legitimate basis. I was masterfully unfolded the spiritual wisdom contained in the Vedantic texts called Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita. That allowed me to recognize the truth of who I really am. Such discovery has brought for me and those around me, many beautiful life consequences.
